Which AI roleplay apps support group scenes?

SpicyChat, Kindroid and Chub AI document group chats on their official pages: SpicyChat and Kindroid hold up to 10 characters, and Chub lets several characters join one conversation. CrushOn AI offers group chat on paid plans, at double the credits per character message. Character.AI launched group chat in 2023, but which plans include it now couldn’t be confirmed.

Which AI roleplay apps are safest?

Character.AI and Talkie have the strictest content rules, banning sexual content for everyone. Character.AI also age-checks every account and blocks open-ended chat for under-18s; Talkie allows users from 14 under its terms, with weaker checks. Kindroid verifies paying users through billing. The adult hubs, Janitor AI, SpicyChat, Chub AI and CrushOn AI, rely mostly on self-declared age outside regions with verification laws. None of the seven offers end-to-end encryption.

What makes roleplay apps forget the story?

Context size. Each app’s AI sees only the most recent part of a conversation, measured in tokens, and older messages drop out as a story grows. Free tiers are tight: SpicyChat’s free window holds roughly the last 20 messages, and Janitor’s about 9,000 tokens. Tools that help are lorebooks (Chub AI, Character.AI), World Cards (CrushOn AI), Janitor’s Chat Memory note and pinned memories, or a companion app like Kindroid that keeps long-term memory separately.
