Who runs Tipsy Chat?

Tipsy Chat is run by Lightspeed Intelligence Pte. Ltd., a Singapore company named in the site footer, terms, privacy policy and Apple listing. The paperwork involves more names than most apps, which makes it harder to know who to contact in a dispute:

The terms and about page also give two different Singapore addresses. Disputes go to confidential arbitration in Santa Clara County, California, and class actions are waived. No lawsuit, regulator action or data breach involving Tipsy Chat was found as of October 19, 2026, and its operator was not among the companies in the FTC’s September 2025 inquiry into companion chatbots.

Is Tipsy Chat private?

Not especially. Its privacy policy, updated September 5, 2026, allows broad use of what you type and upload:

The biggest contradiction is encryption. A box in the privacy policy says chats are end-to-end encrypted and that Tipsy staff can’t read them, but the same policy sends inputs to outside AI providers, the terms let Tipsy use your content, and Google Play’s data label lists only encryption in transit. RoboRhythms advises assuming staff can read your chats, and that is the safer reading.

Is Tipsy Chat safe for teens?

No. Tipsy Chat is for adults only: its terms, privacy policy and guidelines all bar under-18s and require every character to be an adult. Age is a simple self-declaration, with no ID or face check described, and accounts found to belong to minors are closed. The App Store rates it 18+, while Google Play rates it Mature 17+, a gap that leaves 17-year-olds able to download the Android version.

Adult content is available through a “Limitless” setting on the web, iOS app and the Android APK from tipsy.chat, though the written rules say pornographic content isn’t supported. The Google Play version is SFW only. Parents who want to block the app should use Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link and also block tipsy.chat in the browser, because the website works without an app.

Which app is the real Tipsy Chat?

The official apps are “Tipsy Chat: Live Your Story” on the App Store (seller Lightspeed Intelligence) and on Google Play (package com.tipsyturbo.app, which links to tipsy.chat’s terms and support email). Watch for these similar names:

Are Tipsy Chat collab invitations a scam?

Tipsy Chat does run paid influencer campaigns, and no invitation has been confirmed as fraud. Modash lists 21 creators with sponsored Tipsy Chat posts from September 2026, and its Instagram profile lists market@tipsy.chat for collaborations. A Reddit r/Scams thread about a “PAID collab with Tipsy.chat” email ranks for review searches, and its top reply flagged that the message didn’t come from a Tipsy Chat address and opened generically. RoboRhythms read the same thread as mass template outreach from the company, noting no one reported losing money.

To stay safe with any collab offer:

1. Check that the sender’s address ends in tipsy.chat.
2. Refuse any request to pay a fee, buy gems or share login details.
3. Ask for a written agreement before posting anything.

Is your money safe on Tipsy Chat?

Spending is the risk most reviewers raise. Every message costs gems, even on a plan, and plan gems expire monthly. App Store reviewers describe burning a top-tier plan’s gems in two days, and one reports charges they couldn’t match to a receipt. Refunds go through Apple, or through Google Play within 48 hours of purchase; the terms say purchases are otherwise generally non-refundable. Set purchase approval or spending limits in your phone’s store settings, and cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
